Health and Safety Policy

 

Wonderberry attaches primary importance to safeguarding the health & safety of all partners, staff, clients, contractors and other visitors.

 

It is the firm’s policy to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring that only equipment and systems which are safe are used by staff carrying out the firm’s business.

 

The objective of the firm in relation to this policy is to minimize the incidence of work related injuries and illness.  To achieve this objective the firm will take all steps reasonably practical to:

 

a)      Provide and maintain a safe place of work, to include buildings, plant, equipment, services and systems of work and a safe means of access and egress to the workplace;

b)      Arrange for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances;

c)       Ensure that appropriate safety information, instruction, training and supervision are provided to partner and employees;

d)      Ensure that appropriate measures are taken to safeguard the health and safety of client and other visitors to our premises;

e)      Ensure the elimination or, where this is not practical, the adequate control of hazards and to contribute positively to providing a safe and healthy working environment;

f)       Comply with its statutory duties under the relevant Health & Safety legislation including the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations.

 

The allocation of duties for safety matters and particular arrangements relating to these are set out in this health and safety policy document.  Partners and employees are reminded of their statutory responsibilities which are also described herein.
