Bounce for Bradford 2012

People are being urged to hop on over to the recently opened City Park,  and “bounce for Bradford” as the Council is set to host a world record attempt based on a 1970s toy.

Up to 2,500 people are hoped to gather for Bounce for Bradford 2012 on Sunday, July 22, with the aim of smashing the world record for the biggest-ever space-hopper bounce while raising funds for charity.

There will be entertainment throughout the event, which will help raise funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research, and anyone who takes part will be able to take their space hopper home as the toy is included in the entrance fee.

The record to beat was set at the Street Performance World Championships in Ireland in June 2010, when 1,505 participants hopped together for 60 seconds.

Entry costs £12 per person which includes a t-shirt, fundraising pack and a space hopper.
